2:42 am - Meat sweats!
Oh holy shit I feel rotten! We went to our friend Susu's going away party tonight. When they say barbeque in Brazil they don't fuck around! Not one vegetable, no just meat, meat, meat and beer. I gave up red meat awhile ago but after 4 or 5 beers and a gin and tonic I was ready to eat anything (except for the grilled chicken hearts *gags*)now I feel like death. Mostly all I did was follow Lily and her friend Dominique, who's also 2, around and keep them out of trouble. I think I relate to kids much more than I do people my own age any more. We had a great time laughing at the guy that passed out and puked on the floor. I told Lily that he tossed his cookies and she keep saying "Tossed his cookies? Oh he lost his cookies!" and she would make this concerned face ;D
I'm yet again adding more people to my friends list in hopes that a healthy friends list will spur me to post more (sorry I'm just ripping people off of Sinistra's list... oh well, deal with it)! Oh yeah Sinistra and I were asked to do a 6 page layout in this slick photography book being published in London, woohoo!

3:49 am - Long time no see!
It’s been a long while hasn't it? I suppose I should write here more often, but I get so absorbed with work I tend to forget about LJ (other than peeking over Singo's shoulder once in a while). Oh well, I will try to do better. Let me see what's going on... we got a new camera last week, a brand new Sony digital job. I'm still in mourning over our other one that got fried last month, but this one is really twice the camera so I can’t complain.
I DJ'd last Saturday at DDK http://www.ddklub.com/, the monthly goth/electro party here in Rio. They always ask me to spin on Halloween since I'm the only American around (they had me carve the pumpkins too) Two songs into my set this girl starts bugging the crap out of me about playing Marilyn Manson so she can continue having sex with her boyfriend (apparently Skinny Puppy wasn't romantic enough or something). I tried to be nice at first, but she was drunk and belligerent and just kept pestering me. Finally she wouldn't shut up and I almost missed my song cue while stopping her from pawing through my CD's so I turned to her and asked
"Do have any Marilyn Manson CD's at home?" and she says "Oh yes all of them!" so I looked her in the eye and yelled "Well then why don't you go there and fucking listen to them?!" she made this confused face like she didn't understand and just kept talking. Godamn language barrier! I’m going to add some new people to my friends list, I hope you don’t mind :p

2:54 am - Sandwiches? Blimey! Whatever did i give the wife?

Singo and I had a nice dinner out for her birthday. We went to our favorite resturaunt the Acedemia da Cachaça http://www.academiadacachaca.com.br/ with her dad and uncle who footed the bill :D Besides having great food, they have over a hundred different kinds of cachaça from all over Brazil to sample. For those of you who aren't in the know cachaça is a liquor made from sugar cane, kind of like rum but with it's own distinct taste. Some of the nicer brands have a smooth smokey taste not unlike whiskey. Needless this place rocks and with 100+ options you can't go wrong.
So tomorrow I have to go to "work" again. Work being voice overs for English language instuctional tapes. Its actually tougher than it sounds. Some of the little plays I have to act out are several pages long and you have to speak each word perfectly and distinctly. Many times I have to use different accents. On my first job I had to use an English accent and for the life of me I couldn't get it right (it kept coming out scottish for some reason). It wasn't until I started doing Monty Python imitations that I got it right. So of course now they keep calling me back to do more tapes. Oh well it's a living ;)

2:22 pm - New digs
So finally I changed my LJ to lokithorn. I have been meaning to do this for ages, but I never have enough time for this stuff. Of course Sinistra has even less time than me with school and all that and she's the one that knows how to set up the page. I am a computer idiot savant. With image programs like Photoshop or Illustrator I'm a whiz, but anything else it's like asking grandma to program the VCR(Our version of windows is in Portuguese so I have an excuse) I'm adding a bunch of new friends to my list so if your coming here and asking yourself "who the hell is this guy?" I'm Sinistra's partner and I have probably been reading your journal over her shoulder ;P So anyway the Oi Magazine article is FINALLY coming out this week. I am anxious to see how it looks, you never can tell when someone else is printing your work even if they're professionals. If all goes well she'll probably post something from it this week. I did the whole thing in black and white + one color and the effect is pretty cool. More later...
